Mark T. Shepheard is a native of Roanoke. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA. He has taken numerous adult classes at the Virginia Art Museum and at the Studio School in Roanoke. Mark has exhibited over ten years in Richmond galleries. Now he is represented at Signature 9 Gallery in Roanoke. Recently he became a signature member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters.

Inspiration comes to Mark from nature and the figure. With adept drawing skills Mark experiments in a number of mediums: acrylic, oils, encaustic, monotype and linoleum printing, book constructions, fiction writing and mixed media.
