Painting has been a constant in my life since childhood, with oil being my first love and then discovering watercolor in the mid-80s. I work in both media almost equally now, teaching Renaissance Painting Techniques in oil both at The Studio School and in my studio and also teaching occasional color workshops in watercolor at both studios. I have a B.A. in Studio Art from Hollins University and have further studied at The Angel Academy in Florence, Italy, as well as with noted contemporary painters Sondra Freckelton and Jack Beal at their studios in NY.

I am an artist member and past Historian of the Virginia Watercolor Society and my work has appeared in and/or on the covers of several national art magazines and books and is in corporate and private collections around the country and in Italy. My work can be seen locally at The Little Gallery at Smith Mountain Lake.
